SEO copywriting and content writing for SaaS brands

Hi, I’m Pawel, a B2B SaaS Copywriter and Content Strategist with Deep Expertise in SEO

Freelance SaaS and marketing writer

I specialize in helping companies like yours position their SaaS products in front of their target audience with actionable, engaging, and SEO-driven blog posts, long-form content, white papers, and many other content types.

But I’m more than just a writer. Let me explain.

Most people looking for a SaaS copywriter, want someone to help them achieve one of the following three objectives:

  1. They want someone to help them boost conversion rates from the website.
  2. Or they need assistance with reducing churn or converting more trials into paying customers.
  3. Or they seek a copywriter who could help them dominate the market with high-quality content that not only provides value to their audience but ranks incredibly well when they search for this information in Google.

I’m the SaaS copywriter you hire for the option no. 3

Pawel Grabowski SaaS Copywriter

My name is Pawel Grabowski. I’m a B2B copywriter working with SaaS and software companies only.

What makes me truly unique is that I combine three elements – 5 years of hands-on, in-house SEO experience, marketing background, and 4+ years of writing for SaaS brands exclusively – to deliver content strategies that drive rankings, traffic, and growth.

Many of your peers – HubSpot, Close.io, SEMrush, AdEspresso, Drift and others – have used my extensive copywriting and SEO experience, and great comfort in writing for SaaS buyers already to:

  • Boost rankings and increase search visibility,
  • Attract high-quality visitors from Google,
  • Boost their organic conversion rate,
  • Engage potential users at all stages of the buying cycle, and
  • Generate more inbound leads and demo requests.

Here’s more information about my qualifications and experience as the copywriter for SaaS brands.

  • I graduated with a Masters in Marketing from the National College of Ireland. I even wrote my Masters dissertation on SaaS marketing. (You can read it on the college’s website if you’re interested.)
  • For nearly 5 years, I worked as the sole in-house SEO for Staycity Apartments, one of the largest self-catering hotel chains in Europe. I was the company’s first SEO hire, and I was responsible for generating a seven-figure annual revenue from organic search. (Which I did.)
  • I started copywriting in 2009, first as a hobby, then as a way to market a software company I ran with a friend of mine back then.
  • After we decided to part ways and closed the business, I moved on to work in SEO, where, naturally, I also wrote a lot. In 2014, I decided to focus on writing for SaaS brands entirely. In 2015 I left Staycity Apartments to focus on Smashing Copy full-time.
  • Since then, I’ve written copy and content for over 40 SaaS companies, from established brands like Hubspot, Close.io or SEMrush to startups (although many have become established companies since then, like Drift.)

What else makes me different from the other guys?

I understand your target audience. And that’s not just because I’ve been communicating with them for so many years already. I also ran a small software company, where my responsibilities included selling and marketing our products.

Sure, we may not have been awfully successful (at least, not as successful as many of my clients are.) But knocking on doors to sell our products have taught me a lot about a typical SaaS and software buyer.

As a result, I know how to engage software buyers. I understand their challenges. And I know how to make your core message relevant to them. Be it a simple blog post or complex long-form content, I can help connect you with the target audience.

I also need a little direction in the process. My marketing, SEO and copywriting experience make it easy for me to decide which stories to tell, what tone to take, and what elements to include in the copy to have it rank well and engage your target audience.

My Technical Background and Experience

Between May 2004 and August 2010, together with a good friend of mine, I ran a web development and software company. Apart from developing custom projects for clients, we also built three products – CMS systems and eCommerce platforms.

I was responsible for all our marketing, sales as well as front-end development. And although I didn’t personally write much backend code, I’ve picked up enough knowledge about technology that powers software products to be able to understand your product and convert its features into compelling benefits.

My Pricing and Fees

My fees are in line with what other professional copywriters with similar experience charge.

I quote per project, so you always know from the start how much it will cost you.

Note that I never negotiate rates.

My Clients and What They Say About Working with Me

Over the last four years, I wrote copy and content for tens of SaaS brands, from small companies to large enterprise organizations.

Here are some of them:

SaaS Copywriter Clients

And here’s what they say about working with me:

Pawel does an amazing job with our content development. Not only does he write the blog topics we brainstorm internally, he help craft the objective ideas to make posts engaging.
I appreciate the most his ability to get the content done with little direction within the process.  – Tania German, Sr. Marketing Manager at an Enterprise SaaS Organization

Pawel is one of the best writers we’ve ever worked with. He immediately understood the kind of content that our audience like and constantly delivers great articles, on time.
All his articles are well researched, full of data points and links to interesting resources. We’re gonna work more and more with Pawel as he also has a clear strategic view on Content Marketing and provides valuable feedback to scale our marketing effort – Massimo Cheruzzi – CEO, AdEspresso

Pawel has been a great contributor to the WisePops blog, and has proven to be both creative and super effective.
He also has a great knowledge of the SaaS industry and knows what you need before you ask. I am super happy to work with Pawel and will definitely continue working with him into the future. – Ben Cahen – CEO, Wisepops

How to Hire Me

The process is easy. Contact me through the form on this page (or via the Contact page) and tell me more about your project or content requirements. Ideally, tell me a bit about your app too.

I’ll reply within a working day with the information you’ve requested. I’ll also send you my Information Pack, a document that tells you more about me and how I work.

If after reading the Information Kit, you decide to work with me, we’ll schedule a quick intro call.

I will use this time to:

Get to know you,

First and foremost, this call will help us get to know each other better.

Discuss the project in more depth,

The intro call gives me an opportunity to find out more about your current situation – your challenges, goals, and objectives and ask any questions I might have about your project.

Offer you some feedback and advice,

Those 15 – 20 minutes are also your time to ask questions and run ideas by me. Of course, given the short time available I can only provide quick recommendations. But at least I could point you in the right direction.

Find the fit,

Lastly, I’ll use this time trying to establish if we could work together. Are we meshing well? Is the communication owing easily? Do we see problems eye to eye?

The success of the project greatly relies on how well we work together and thus, finding if there’s a fit is, at least for me, the key goal of the call.
